MMSI Radio License
The MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity) is a unique nine-digit number assigned to vessel radio equipment such as VHF, AIS, and DSC. It identifies ships and enables vital communication of location, course, and speed. MMSI serves as a global identifier used by search and rescue services, coast guards, and maritime authorities during emergencies. Cost: 149 EUR
Required documents for MMSI registration:
Copy of the CE Declaration of Conformity for all radios listed in the application form (usually available from the manufacturer or distributor of your radio equipment).
Copy of your Polish Registration Certificate.
If the applicant is a private individual (not a company): a valid personal radio operator license/certificate issued by a government institution.
- Other certificates or training documents are not accepted.
- The only exception is the Royal Yachting Association Certificate.

Power of attorney authorizing us to represent you before the Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE).
EPIRB Registration
If you declare an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) in your MMSI application, Polish law requires you to also register it with the Polish Civil Aviation Authority to enhance emergency locatability. If you already hold a Polish MMSI number, you are eligible to initiate the EPIRB registration process.
Cost: 99 EUR
Required documents for EPIRB registration:
Producer, model, and serial number of the device.
Three-digit Cospas-Sarsat certificate number.
MMSI number and UKE DC.WML decision number.
Activation type – automatic or manual.
Sender Identification Code (hexadecimal), coded with the Polish ID number 261.
Vessel details: name, hull color, length, home port, and maximum number of people on board.
Owner information (as per the Polish Registration Certificate).

Important notes
- The license authorizes the use of the following equipment: VHF Radio, Radar, AIS, EPIRB, and radar transponder.
- The MMSI/EPIRB registration process may take up to 6 weeks.
- A valid Polish Registration Certificate is mandatory to obtain the license.
