Required documents
To register your yacht/boat quickly and hassle-free, prepare the following:
Proof of ownership – purchase agreement, invoice, bill of sale, or notary statement
De-registration document – only if the vessel was registered before
Copy of ID/passport – or company formation document if owned by a company
Engine documents – required for engines over 20 HP
CE Certificate or Class Certificate – if the yacht is under 10 years old, built outside the EU, or never registered in the EU
Measurement document – for vessels over 15 m (builder’s certificate, tonnage certificate, survey report, yacht manual)
Photo of vessel identification number (HIN/VIN/CIN/INI) – must comply with Registration Office format. If not, a Polish ID number will be assigned.
- If the hull number does not meet these criteria, a Polish identification number will be assigned.
- The required format is: YY-xxx@@@@@X999, where:
- Y = a letter
- x = a letter or digit (excluding 0 and 1)
- @ = a letter or digit (excluding I, O, and Q)
- X = a letter (A–L)
- 9 = a digit
If your current hull number does not meet this format and you require confirmation of the actual number, you may optionally request an Extract Document.
